Me
I wanted to tell you
little about myself and what makes ME the best
trainer to help YOU. As you can see by my picture
I've been on the other side of this. I spent most of my
life over weight. Growing up, I got teased for
being over weight. I like, most people, tried yo-yo
diets and made mistakes along the way. I gave up and
decided it didn't matter anyway as long as I was
healthy. Then in February 2002 my world came crashing
down. At the young age of 27 I had a stroke.
I
knew from then on that I wanted to live a long healthy
life and that things needed to change. From that day on,
I made a commitment to myself and the way I treated my
body. I spent the next year working hard and losing
weight. I lost 110 lbs and felt great! My cholesterol
went from almost 200 down to 119. My blood
pressure came down. My resting heart rate is now in
the low 50's. I learned with determination that it
can be done and its never too late. You can lose weight
without drugs or surgery, I did, and you can
too. I will help you set and reach
your goals.
At 278 lbs I didn't know how good
healthy felt. Now at 165 lbs, I know! I lift weights and
run most days. During the summer I compete in 5k's,
10k's, half marathons, and also decathlons. I
hope to do my first marathon this fall. I could
never have accomplished this at 278 lbs.
